Ben and his wife Laura have been married since 2004, and have 3 kids. Ben has been on staff at Real Life since February of 2024. He loves helping people find their next step. 

Ben received his bachelors in science from the university of Tennessee at Martin, and his MDiv from Southern Seminary. 

"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love." (Ephesians 4:2)

It is a humbling privilege to be entrusted to bear someone's burdens. I hope to use my personal experiences as a husband, father, pastor, and follower of Christ to encourage families and individuals as they seek Christ.

Healing begins and ends with Jesus. He is our ultimate source of hope, offering grace and strength in our times of need. He understands our struggles and walks with us through them. 

I grew up in Campobello, SC, and discovered my pastoral assignment in college. I earned a degree in Youth Ministry from North Greenville University in 2022 and joined Real Life Church as the Student Minister in 2023. I had the privilege of being ordained in 2025, and I am passionate about walking alongside others as they pursue healing.

Since accepting Christ in my dorm room at Memphis State University, He continues His work on me, and has shown himself faithful to me and my family. I have been married to my firecracker wife, Sherry, for nearly 30 years. We live outside Nashville with 3 dogs, a cat, and a herd of goats. We have two wonderful sons and a daughter-in-marriage that we are very proud of.

I received a Bachelor of Science from Middle Tennessee State University double majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice Administration with a minor in Sociology. In my vocation, I design business communications systems and networks.

It is my desire to help others mature and grow in intimacy with their Heavenly Father. For me, to care for someone is to help bring healing to their heart and soul through the Holy Spirit from Jesus Christ. I want to love people intentionally, the way Jesus does.

I was born and raised in Clarksville. I graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2021 with my masters in pastoral ministry. My wife, Nicole, and I are excited to be a part of the Real Life family.
