What is Real Life Young Adults?

Real Life Young Adults is a discipleship-oriented ministry that connects college students and young adults in grace-and-truth communities, intentionally equipping them for mature service and gospel mission.

Community Groups

At Real Life, we say Community Groups are where strangers become friends and friends become family. This is your chance to find your people, build real relationships, and do life together. In these groups, we study God’s Word together, pray together, and build real relationships with others. We have space for you!

Young Adult Lunch

The Young Adult Lunch takes place once a month and is geared toward college students and young adults to help build relationships over a shared meal. This is a great way to get to know some of the young adults who attend our church. Bring a friend and stay for community!

Worship at the Flex

Once a semester, we gather together for one sole purpose: to worship Jesus. We meet in the Flex at Real Life with open hands and expectant hearts for God to move and show up.

Young Adult Getaway

Our fall getaway is a once-a-semester opportunity to step away from the rhythms of our busy schedules and build authentic relationships with one another. This two-day getaway gives young adults an opportunity to grow in their faith and press into what God is doing in their lives. We will eat good food, enjoy great community, and take real steps toward following Jesus more closely.

Find Your People

Our gatherings provide an open space for the Lord to lead young adults toward spiritual growth. These times are intentionally designed for people to grow and invest in others.

Giving

Give Generously

Our young adults seek to be generous stewards of the gifts God has given them: their time, talents, and treasures.

Serving

Serve Sacrificially

The greatest way we can serve the world is by serving others holistically, using our gifts, sharing Jesus with others, finding joy in serving, and reproducing that culture in others.

Living

Live on Mission

As lifelong disciples of Jesus, we live in a deeply connected community. We know we are a vital part of the church, and we seek to reach others and bring them into a relationship with Christ.

Hunter Wesson

College Minister

Hunter grew up in a small town called Slapout, Alabama. Hunter came to know the Lord when he was 15. He loves to share the love of Christ with others, and during high school he went on several mission trips to Brazil, Nicaragua, and Ecuador. These trips, coupled alongside faithful men in his life pouring into him, solidified the call to vocational ministry he sensed on his life.

Hunter earned his M. Div. from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2026, where he also earned a certificate in Greek Exegesis. Hunter’s heart is to see young adults grow in their relationship with Jesus through discipleship to serve him for a lifetime of faithfulness.

Hunter met his wife Bella in college, and they were married in October 2023. They strive to reach others with the Gospel by hosting people in their home. The Wessons enjoy a good cup of coffee, good food, and going on walks with their dog Blue. Hunter is also a passionate fan of the Green Bay Packers, Premier League soccer and Manchester United, and loves people!
