Originally a native of Augusta, GA, Tanner moved to Clarksville in late 2022 with his wife, Jordan, and three kids, Silas, Russell, and Annie. Tanner was raised in church, saved by grace through faith at age 9, and has been serving in a musical capacity in the church since he first learned guitar at age 14. A long list of Godly people have been used by Him to teach and admonish Tanner over the course of his life, and for that he is forever grateful. During the week, Tanner is a Mechanical Design Engineer for Bridgestone in Nashville, and learned that trade through experimentation and watching YouTube tutorials. Tanner and Jordan have been members of Real Life Sango since their first Sunday attending in March of 2025.
