- The church is created through preaching. Why is this so important to remember, and how are we to respond to that knowledge?

- It is critically important to avoid deceiving oneself through preaching passionately about certain topics or beliefs. How do we insulate ourselves from this shortcoming? What does scripture say we should do in this instance?

- The sermon closed with a story of a doctor slated to one day be the physician to the king but who turned to say yes to a call to ministry. The question is not “Is God calling you to ministry?” but “In what way is He calling you to ministry, and how are you going to choose to say YES?”
Prayer Prompt
Father, help us remember to pray not just for our own preacher, but for opportunities to be everyday preachers of the good news of Jesus. Help us see opportunities to share your love, and invite others into the family of Christ through proclaiming your word.
